![]() I had my car in for service for the 5th time (same thing!!!) and GM explained to me that I was missing relay's and fuses in my car (yes, cause the car doesn't lock and the remote keyless entry had a glitch in it due to the recall")! I have filed several cases with GM about this and have had my identity stolen, 2 weeks after getting this vehicle!!!! since these items were missing, they wanted me to pay for this out of my own pocket, again GM's recall and issue not mine!!! since I wouldn't pay for what should have been warrantied, they removed the missing components from my car, charged me $250 for the diagnostic and a loaner car (total scam and they are allowing me to drive around with missing components that will continue to affect the glitches in the "byom" and car!? I am driving around a safety and identity theft hazard now due to GM and their lack of follow through on a known issue brought to their attention at the beginning of 2015 at defcon convention!! see - sam kamkar brought this to their attention. I have had my Trax in for service 5+ times due to the "byom" media and due to my car being hacked through the "glitch" through the mylink media center and informant system, which, ironically, at the beginning of May 2016, a recall notice was sent out about this issue. Others have reported these exact same issues here on the site so there are obviously issues with the 2015 Chevy Trax that GM is not addressing. Note: This is the 5th time the car has been taken in for major repairs since January 2019 (when purchased) and the 2nd time in 2 months it had to be towed in. Onstar sent 4 messages: One was service interlock braking system, two were regarding the traction control system and one was for the exhaust emissions system. Vehicle was towed and is currently sitting at mcclusky Chevrolet in kings auto mall, which is where the car was purchased used in Jan 2019. Check engine light was "flashing" since I was 1/4 mile or less from the house, I was able to limp the car home and called dealership. Car started shaking and smell of burning oil was present. Turned onto main highway and was unable to accelerate. Pulled off the road, shut off car, waited a few moments and restarted. ![]() Car was idling rough, was unable to accelerate, traction control light came on, check engine light came on. *attempted* to drive back home and experienced same problems as daughter. ![]() Battery / starter checked ok, alternator checked out as bad. 2 miles, where they checked the battery, starter and alternator. Dad's comments: Drove car to advanced auto parts, approx. Turned around and returned to house so dad could look at it and sister drove me to work in her car. Left for work and car was jerking, loosing power and would not accelerate. Car was working fine the previous day and had not been started / driven since. Started 2015 Chevy Trax in driveway and it started idling very rough. ![]() Both incidents occurred after Purchase in November, 2020 at First City Used Auto, Gonic NH and they would not claim responsibility to fix, despite both issues being Safety Issues/Defects of Car. Safety Issue of the Passenger Rear Door's Lock will not lock/unlock (button will not go up and down) to be able to get in or out of car from the back seat - the 'motor'? can be heard engaging when either the door lock/unlock button is pressed or the key fob is pressed to lock/unlock - but the button is stuck in a position that you cannot pull it up to get in or out of the car. #2 - Safety Issue of the Back Seat Safety Belts near door continues to twist within an area that cannot easily be gotten to, causing the Safety Belt to not be able to be pulled out or retract - making them unable to be used, as they are jammed and cannot fit around a person to lock into the clasp to hold them into the back seat. #1 - Safety Issue of the Passenger Rear Door's Lock will not lock/unlock (button will not go up and down) to be able to get in or out of car from the back seat - the 'motor'? can be heard engaging when either the door lock/unlock button is pressed or the key fob is pressed to lock/unlock - but the button is stuck in a position that you cannot pull it up to get in or out of the car. ![]()
